1. WRITING

Make a review of an Indonesian television series or sinetron you watch every day (see the list enclosed) at least 300 words. In your review, state the film series/sinetron, episode, title, genre, director, writer, producer, year, theme song(s), actor(s), actress(es) orientation, interpretative recount, evaluation, summative evaluation, etc. (see Film Review Draft)

When you have finished writing your review, type neatly (not handwriting) and submit it on the day of the English practice test complete with pictures and put your name, grade and student number on the right top of the paper. (Remember: No film review, no performance which means you fail your test).

2. SPEAKING

You must be responsible to the review you have written by making a handsfree live performance for 5 – 10 minutes before your teacher. The performance should involve story  telling and answering some questions about the review.

Welcome to Mr T’s remedial test program !

Students of  XII A who got under the passing grade (<7.5) in the English test of TPHBS held on Tuesday, 2nd March, 2010,   should join this project. For your convenience, the project is  arranged as follows:

A. INDIVIDUAL

  1. Choose your most favourite English song
  2. Sing and record the full song with music like Karaoke ( use  your handphone, a digital camera or a handycam)
  3. Make slides with Powerpoint:
  • in the 1st slides:  tell your identity,
  • 2nd slide:  state the reason why you join the project,
  • 3rd slide: write the lyrycs of the song (insert pictures)
  • 4th slide:  make hyperlink  with the recording,
  • 5th slide:  say thanks to the audience.

B. GROUP

  1. Make a group of 3 (three)
  2. Choose the topic of discussion
  3. State the team split (director, camera man etc.)
  4. Start and record the dialogue
  5. Make slides using Powerpoint:

This special assignment is definitely aimed for XI A 4 graders:
